Finally the police and intelligence services need the resources to deal with right wing extremism in both Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
Unfortunately they have a lot on their plate - including Russian, Iranian, and Islamist operations, but that’s the world in which we live.
This is sufficiently serious that the Prime Minister needs to address it. He must make clear that incitement and racist violence are unacceptable and will be dealt with using the full force of the law (the law itself is more than adequate - it needs to be enforced.

Ireland and the UK joined while their territory was disputed.
Cyprus joined (but the Greek side shafted the Turkish side in that case because the EU granted accession before they took the peace deal that Turkish Cypriots had accepted)
It’s easy to blame “social media” for the riots in Belfast, and it has its share. But that also means the incitement happened in the open.
Why did the PSNI not act in response to the incitement and deploy to stop the violence breaking out. What can it learn?
