Hello, Perth! The SBA is very honoured to host a talk by Professor Wolfgang Streit of the University of Hamburg, this June 3rd at 3 PM, in room G33 of the Bayliss Building. A sign-up link to register for free food and drink can be found here: events.humanitix.com/plastic-poll...
Hello, Perth! Synthetic Biology Australasia's Perth node is now posting all of the information about our events on Bluesky. Follow us if you want to be alerted to talks and gatherings focused on syn-bio, here in glorious Western Australia.
A very gracious thank you to Dr. Puiman for his talk today! We hope you (if you attended) enjoyed it as much as the rest of us but, if you did not get to attend, don't worry: There'll be many more talks this year to come.
The event will be at 3:30 PM in G35 of the Bayliss Building, and will include a talk, followed by a Q&A session, then adjourn to the tea room for food and drink. If you are hungry for both free food and free knowledge, please sign up! events.humanitix.com/sba-seminar-...
What a wonderful talk! On behalf of the whole SBA out here in Perth, we were very grateful to Professor Streit for sharing his wit and wisdom with us on Tuesday. We hope he enjoyed his time with us as much as we did ours with him.
Hello, Perth! The SBA is delighted to announce we will be hosting Professor Elizabeth Watkin this Friday, April 24th, for a talk all about rare earth extraction through biomining! This talk will cover Prof. Watkin's own work in identifying candidate organisms for bioleaching processes.
Personally, we're fascinated to get to hear more about the rationalization of bioreactor scale-up. If you've ever wondered about how to effectively lab-test bioreactors in ways that mimic the large-scale, this is the talk for you!
Professor Streit's lab has spent years studying plastic degradation, including enzymatic tools to degrade plastics that are currently difficult to process. He will be giving a talk all about his lab's path from metagenomic data to in vitro demonstration of enzymatic degradation.
This Thursday at 3 PM, join us in the Bayliss Building for a talk by Dr. Lars Puiman, here from the University of Queensland: "From lab to industry: scaling-up bioreactors for gas fermentations". Sign up for tickets here: events.humanitix.com/from-lab-to-...
