Yup, that's an Avatar in the hangar there. Mixture of both the old TRO art and the new miniature, alongside with gimbaled lasers due me messing up and thinking the Vulture from Mechwarrior 4 was a different machine.

Finished the pilot. Now on to waiting for the other players to decide on their pilots...
Work in progress for the pilot. Callsign "Escher" due to a patchjob on her mech she had to do herself and the chief mechtech fainting after discovering her cable management.
While thinking about how to draw the pilot of this thing, I made a rudimentary rig for it. Just in case, for testing purposes.
Why do my attempts at "I just wanted to draw a mech" always get out of hand like this? We'll never know.
So, I'm starting to wonder if my "reference" model isn't perhaps already good enough as an illustration by itself. Still needs a proper paintjob and pose, though. Also, does this look too beefy for an Avatar-0C? #battletech #mecha
Yeah, Supreme Commander is very much like TA, just with some added bling for the time back then. Though the UI used to be ass until they fixed it with Forged Alliance. And thanks to FAForever the game is still kinda up and running, if I remember correctly.
3 more days of sunk cost fallacy later, i have learned that animating camo pattern by hand is INSANELLY STUPID.
