A new paper on Deadwood fungal diversity out today, lead author @vincentbuness.bsky.social. We show that deadwood quantity, quality, and forest harvesting control deadwood fungal diversity. Old unmanaged forests are very important reservoirs for fungal diversity, especially red listed taxa.
Please share. We are looking for a post doc to work on N fixation.
We're searching for a postdoc fellow to conduct research on biological nitrogen fixation in boreal forests! The postdoc will join a dynamic and fun research group in UmeÄ. Deadline Aug 27th. Reach out if you have any questions! www.slu.se/en/about-slu... @michael-gundale.bsky.social
New Paper! We quantify changes in global albedo from 2001. Land surface reflectivity has changed Earthâs albedo for >10% of global land from 2001 to 2020, producing darkening equivalent to 7.0% of CO2-induced warming. Strong tundra and desert signals.

Our new paper on global albedo change is out. Check it outđđđ

Very nice that KAW shared this, and provided support for the study.
I am really excited to share our new paper, published today in Nature. We show that rising atmospheric CO2 is linked to decling nutrient availability in boreal forest, with implications for the future carbon sink. Kudos to lead author @kelleyrbassett.bsky.social.
