Happy Juneteenth, everyone!
Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the US. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1863, it wasn't until 1865 when the last slaves were freed.
Even now, the fight for freedom, equality, & justice continues. Never forget.
If you don't know Akane Shimizu (@/yellow_flame_,) creator of "Cells at Work!", she recently shared the hardships she faced during serialization. I was touched to see she read my message of support.
Shimizu-sensei, if by chance you ever read this, thank you for inspiring me.
Sometimes, I look at the opportunities & accomplishments of others & think to myself: "...am I being left behind? Am I doing something wrong?"
It doesn't mean it's true, but it is understandable. We all want to succeed, but that road is going to be different for everyone.
8 years ago today, my life drastically changed.
I needed emergency spinal surgery. If I didn't get it, I would've become permanently paraplegic. I was on that table for 6 hours.
Suffice to say, it was a canon event. A part of me still mourns what I lost.
But I'm still here.

IRL vs Vtuber
I'm a lot more melancholy IRL than I'd like to admit. But I still carry that same heart for people no matter where I am and where I go.
