I’ve said this before. Mass strikes are uncommon in The US because they demand time off from work. We get so little of that. Our health insurance is tied to our jobs. Lose your health insurance you could go bankrupt. It’s apples and oranges to compare that to say…Germany or The UK. No safety nets.
This may not be obvious to some, but in 1930s Germany millions of Germans didn’t take to the streets in opposition to the regime. We are not living in NAZI Germany. We are fighting back. Yes! The regime is using NAZI tactics, but we are not doomed to repeat history if we continue to fight.
CNN’s @donie.bsky.social : “Why did you come here today?” RANDOM NYC LADY: “Because I think Trump’s a prick.” CNN: “Is the Democratic Party meeting the moment?” RANDOM NYC LADY: “No.” HASAN PIKER: “How do you like Zohran Mamdani?” RANDOM NYC LADY: “I love him.” ❤️
Pete Hegseth removed four decorated Army Colonels from a promotion list they earned through decades of service. Two are Black. Two are women. The Army Secretary called their records exemplary. Hegseth overrode him. Purging proven leaders for who they are assaults America’s promise of equal merit.
