What would it take to make that change? Time. Time, and/or a serious economic collapse in Israel.
The US can persuade Israel to do various things, and vice versa. Share defense tech. Hand over information. Give money. But asking Israel to stop bombing Lebanon is asking to stop a top priority. What higher purpose does the Netanyahu govt have? States aren't talked out of their top priorities.
I can't reply or quote elias, I'm screenshotting not to dunk but to dialog. This is a valid observation, but what I expect it to show is a common misperception, which is that the US can control the actions of the government of Israel. No state is the puppet of any other state. It is not a thing.
This is quite a find.
