As suggested by @florianbonet.bsky.social I toured these "transit gates" in Quai de Pierre-Scize.
To make room for boarding Island alongside the VL3 major bike route, the curbside bus lane + 1 car lane shrinks to a 1-lane pinchpoint at stops. Buses are given priority thanks to an actuated signal.
