Ideally, like Germany or France, we would move towards having MORE parties, such that coalitions would have to be formed, and ostensibly agree on sane legislation that people with different values and kitchen-table issues can agree on to be passed.
I dunno, maybe I'm a just a dreamer.
Now if only you could purchase a new vehicle that doesn't require navigating the menus on an obnoxious and distracting 6" touchscreen just to adjust the temperature in the cabin.
Some (most?) things just need to stay analog.

I would prefer that our MPs are able to think fr themselves, change their minds, and change affiliation if they find their party no longer aligns with their values (Liberals who value environmental issues, anyone?). If the citizenry disagrees, well, that's what general elections are for.
