The modern Democratic Party’s leaders were, up until Trump became president again, clapping like seals for Netanyahu & inviting him to speak to Congress. They are fully aligned with “the kind of Zionism that is hegemonic in Israel”. They don’t reject it. They just now obfuscate their support of it.
We hope fascism goes away too, but oh well, guess we should just accept it.
Today Ben Gvir was celebrating & popping champagne because Israel voted to start giving the death penalty to innocent Palestinian prisoners. I didn’t see too many Dem leaders condemning this or bringing attention to it. It was background noise to them. Something to ignore & hope nobody learns of it.
