This pair of artworks showcases the diversity of the pipefish family. On top, Mark Anthony Jose captures a pipefish cruising a coral reef. Below, Muhmin Micheal Manting highlights a ghost pipefish adapted to tropical waters. Both Philippine-based artists reveal these hidden residents of our oceans.
We’re thrilled to present Ingrid Wildlines' piece, Inspired by #IconicFishes. She beautifully highlights the pygmy seahorse, a tiny species that spends its life hidden among gorgonian corals. Her work reminds us how art and curiosity can grow into a deeper commitment to protecting our iconic fishes.
We are excited to share these mesmerizing glass-blown #seahorses from Västervik, Sweden! Jill Elkins beautifully captures the elegance and vibrance of these #IconicFishes in her handcrafted pendants that feel like wearable treasures straight from a fairytale reef! https://ow.ly/fewg50Z9tJj

Project Seahorse just had its team building activity at U Paint I Fire in Vancouver, Canada. The team came together to paint pottery inspired by #IconicFishes. It was a good reminder why art matters in conservation and a fun way to discover that our scientists are also good with paintbrushes!
We are delighted to share a painting by Diandra Madeline, inspired by #IconicFishes for #WorldOceanDay. After visiting UBC’s Beaty Biodiversity Museum and learning about the Inspired by #IconicFishes movement, she was inspired to connect art with conservation. https://ow.ly/MuxF50Z93Z5
This year’s #WorldOceanDay theme invites us to reimagine our relationship with the ocean. For us, that means using art to help people see, love, and protect our #Iconicfishes and their home. Celebrate by joining our global arts movement now! Explore our inspiration kit on www.iconicfishes.art
A striking #IconicFishes duo from the Philippines! Breanna Jose brings a leafy seadragon to life in bold colours, while Vanessa Mae Tumang captures a pygmy seahorse clinging to its coral home. You too can create new or share existing art with us! Learn more www.iconicfishes.art

Australian artist Vladimir Stankovic’s watercolour artwork celebrates four of our #iconicfishes: the Leafy and Weedy seadragon, and the Banded and Widebody pipefish. We hope this work inspires you to learn more about these iconic fishes & join our growing arts movement too! https://ow.ly/X8fJ50ZagRp

The 1859 artwork ‘Ocean Life’ gives a wonderful impression of the real-life complexity which few humans then had the chance to see; Helen Scales describes some of its 75 species. For those of us looking out for #IconicFishes, a #seahorse & #cornetfish stand out. 🧵 3/ #OceanArt #HelenScales #SeaLife
