My Vassar colleague!
already in trouble
I am proud to share the website my students and I collaborated on this term showcasing UCLA's Ainu-related collections! ✨ Together we researched holdings of the library, Special Collections, and Fowler Museum to document and enhance catalog information on their materials. peopleofthenorth.github.io
really thrilled to see this piece by Rachel Morrison (UCLA Classics PhD), "‘Was Terence a Gentleman?’ Terence, the Human, and Abolition in the Antebellum United States" out in the world with IJCT! #OpenAccess link.springer.com/epdf/10.1007...
‘“I no longer consider Columbia University a safe place to work for Jews who dare to dissent from the political agenda of its most ardently pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian donors and trustees,” wrote Joseph Howley, a classics professor, in his claim.’ www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
I am beyond sad about the death of Marjane Satrapi. As a fan of BD, I loved her work. As an Iranian, I loved her ethics and passion. As a person, I looked up to her. She was the same age as my sister and had very similar experiences which made me feel close to her. She will be sorely missed. RIP.
I don’t have a ton of hobbies but one of them is creating a situation which will end in being overrun by cucumbers
this might actually bring me to tears

the world is on fire and I'm feeling some kind of way about it. nonetheless, I just received proofs of an article on race and blackness in Latin literature which I had to fight tooth and nail to get into print
