Ebola continues to spread in eastern DR Congo, with confirmed cases and deaths rising daily. Local communities are doing what they can, but they need support.
We are in Bunia in Ituri province, at the epicentre of the crisis.

Today, we launched Ireland as a Model Power, a bold new vision for Irish foreign policy that highlights the vital role Ireland can play on the global stage through Overseas Development Assistance (ODA).
There are three reasons for this

The Government have finally made progress on the Occupied Territories Bill, which we welcome.
But we must clear the final hurdle & have services included in the bill.
Collective action has gotten us this far, let's keep going - for justice, for international law, and for the people of Palestine 💪
Supported by Irish Aid, we are working with our local partner FECONDE to conduct an awareness campaign on preventing the spread of Ebola in Ituri Province in DR Congo.
Meanwhile, the Irish Government has the tools to pressure the Israeli Government to take these actions and to act in accordance with international law in the Occupied Territories.
They must pass the Occupied Territories Bill, including services, NOW!
Together, we’ve ensured that the Occupied Territories Bill has stayed on the political agenda. Now, let's strengthen it!
Next week, the Oireachtas Select Committee on Foreign Affairs & Trade is meeting to discuss the OTB & vote on amendments.
Now's the time to get services included as an amendment.

The healthcare system in the West Bank is on the brink of collapse as Israeli authorities withhold Palestinian tax revenues from the Palestinian Authority.
The Israeli Government must release these funds and allow unrestricted humanitarian access.
