I’m only halfway through FLEET OF GHOSTS and it’s already a standout book. It’s military alternate-history is appealing and the story evokes the sense of wonder that draws me to sf in the first place.

That, too, hints at the appeal of FLEET OF GHOSTS aside from the superb world building and distinctive characters. The central story itself combines action, adventure and discovery in the most intriguing way. It’s completely engrossing.

That hints at the wonderful world building in FLEET OF GHOSTS. It’s not just a “warship explores strange world” story. There are many factions involved. The challenges are not just exploratory; there are military and political considerations as well. Not to mention survival.
