This is a great collaboration with the amazing labs of Jana Zaumseil, Laurent Groc and Erwan Bezard
Key Highlights:
🔹 High brightness combined with nanoscale size
🔹 Nonlinear photoluminescence behavior under varying excitation conditions
🔹 PL quantum yields up to 20%
🔹 Demonstration of high-resolution, 3D single-particle tracking in thick brain tissue
An additional small clarification: these ultra-short nanotubes are competitive with quantum dots by being quite brighter, and, above all, by emitting in the NIRII / SWIR range. A crucial asset for bioimaging and NIR photon sources!

🔥 Our latest research on ultrashort carbon nanotubes (uCCNTs) with luminescent color centers has been published in ACS Nano! We've discovered that these uCCNTs are exceptionally bright in the NIRII window, making them ideal for advanced bioimaging, photonics, and quantum science applications.
