Based on this and other posts, you should stop letting this man judge your writing bc he either 1) has bad judgement of writing or 2) intentionally says the worst things he can about YOUR writing. Either way, it's shitty. Take heart in the knowledge he's wrong! 🫂

A helpful mentor gives you negative AND positive feedback to work from. If all his feedback is negative, then IMO it doesn't even matter if his intentions are good, he's just...not good at being a mentor. It's harder if you respect his skills, but plenty of experts are terrible teachers.

Yes! When Rey sees through all the walls and blasé attitudes Ben has put up like armor and there's family hurt rotting right at the heart 🥺 And then Rey becomes someone worth being healed for, and it tips Ben over the edge into figuring things out 🥺🥺
