A little-known fact about the Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill is that it creates a national voucher program. Their voucher scheme helps funnel taxpayer dollars into private schools, including religious schools, which lack accountability, transparency, and civil rights protections.

Our bill repeals that provision and makes it clear: public funds should remain in public schools.
