Yesterday, I joined advocates calling for Salah Sarsour’s release, and visited him in detention. Like too many others in ICE custody, he isn’t receiving proper medical treatment.
I’ll keep pressing for his release, so that he can return home to our community & be reunited with his family.

That's why we need the Keep Public Funds in Public Schools Act.
Our bill repeals that provision and makes it clear: public funds should remain in public schools.
A little-known fact about the Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill is that it creates a national voucher program.
Their voucher scheme helps funnel taxpayer dollars into private schools, including religious schools, which lack accountability, transparency, and civil rights protections.
Trump’s policies are driving up the cost of living, but Secretary Scott Bessent wants us to take solace that inflation is a “blip” and we all just need to take it on the chin until we “get to the other side of this.” I would love to see a timeline on that.
