Happy "oh is the world cup actually starting today!?" day.
Never been less interested in a World Cup but I'll probably get sucked in once the knockouts start.
I do smile when I read emotional posts about the long lean years of suffering by fans of big 4 clubs when they go a few seasons between winning a competition.
1995 was the last time my boyhood club won a trophy. Most fans of non -elite clubs go lifetimes hoping to see just one trophy lift.

Had an enjoyable few weeks helping with some Head Coach hiring processes in the National League and EFL.
A few years ago I complained English coaches were well behind in how they talked about football in interviews. That has changed, way better prepared and I'm excited for the next crop.
