This is, for anyone that doesn't know, the result of the govt selling the rights for private operators to run routes that were already being run by CIE. Now bus Éireann get left with the unprofitable routes as it is no longer profitable to run the popular routes.
Bus Éireann no longer runs a service between Waterford and Dublin. You have to get a private service to get a bus from Waterford to Dublin as of two weeks ago apparently. Embarrassing! We should be embarrassed at the state of public transport in this country!
