That doesn’t mean land acknowledgments are bad.
So much like NYT writers who don’t realize the world doesn’t go to the same parties they go to and aren’t annoyed by the same things that only get annoying if you go to a lot of those parties, I wonder if there isn’t a bit of that going on here.
But there’s a part of me that wonders if this is more about the talk that happens in left/liberal spaces that can get tiresome if you spend a lot of time in left/liberal spaces, particularly formal ones. Yeah, the meeting is long enough and now you’re listening to a third land acknowledgement today
