It feels like Christmas for me, Alex. The sort of Christmas pampering filled w/ anticipation, excitement & fun that everyone else seems to have but which hasn't been my experience in 25 yrs. It's rare for me, tbh, this sort of fun, lightness, & childlike playtime. I feel so grateful & blessed.

Love the colours and the rather wistful mood created by that low curving center flower & how isolated each stalk is from the rest.
Honestly, it's because I was so far away that she was just doing her thing instead of being on alert against Apollo or me. Also, the type of lens achieves immense crispness despite the low light. I could never have managed both together on a phone. She's SO fast, she's usually an escape artist.

You know, a cottage by the lake sounds like the PERFECT setup to practice dreamy long exposure photography at sunrise/sunset, making water & clouds like smooth glass.
She is, isn't she? I can finally do her justice and give her the glamour treatment.
Of course, if she didn't usually run away, hide in corners, or sit in the dark, I could have managed prior to now, but my new lens will overcome her deliberate sabotaging of my efforts.
