My garden Robins are working hard feeding their young still hidden in the scrub over the wall at the bottom of my garden The weather hasn't been too kind to them since they fledged but hopefully all 6 have survived.I've been hiding suitable food from the mags & pigeons to help🤞

Considering the bad storms and high winds here last week it was amazing to see literally hundreds of hoverflies feeding in the poppies and on many other flowers at NT Kingston Lacy today

It was very quiet on the bird front at Soldiers Road when I filled up the fat balls earlier this week, but as I was about to leave a Jay turned up to check out the food I'd left in the coconut shell.
First time I've seen one there .

Beautiful as this Early bumblebee is, I was actually hoping for Wool carder bees on the masses of Stachys byzantina at NT Kingston Lacy , but I couldn't spot a single one☹️
