In lots of different forms, I've done their type of dynamic but this one feels like the best form of it. Because it's a royal protector whose charge that can protect herself, and a princess that doesn't know how to even do her duties anymore. Both dysfunctional but also complete each other ðŸ˜
The Nightshade Court (that Alexandra joined to hide from the attempts on her life) used to be an organization to hunt Beasts during the latter half of their invasion. Once the threat was gone and Norios as a nation dissolved, they transitioned to a more general mercenary group.
Talongrasp is a cold, coastal region where many of the world's legendary craftswomen have come from. Traditionally, and still somewhat today, they carved out homes into the tall, stone spires along the coastline, using the heat within coming up from the core of the world to stay warm.
When a suitor comes to court Alexandra, the princess doesn't really ever realize she's being flirted with unless they're bluntly obvious. She just naturally finds people interesting and loves learning their history, sometimes giving the same suitors the accidental impression she's interested too.
In earlier eras, the region of Candor sent boats to scout across the ocean into the land of the Beasts. These sailors would have been the first to make contact with the crested Beasts before they invaded, and possibly would have been able to warn the rest of Rostrum, but unfortunately none survived.
My actual writing goal this year is to completely move everything off of Google Drive and organize all my old writing so it doesn't get lost lol
