When I finished Skylark it was such a big beast and I was so unwilling to compromise on anything about it that even from the little I knew about trad publishing back then I was like nah, they'd never. Friends helped me indie publish, and then when I started writing the next one, I felt like I needed

It sucks regarding visibility and marketing but the trad pub suckage is more multileveled, and at least like this I can write how I want and do what I want. Not to mention immersing myself in the indie/selfpub scene which is awesome. Love y'all, honestly.
