Going to go ahead and assume the Least Coast decides to weigh in on our election - and not, say, the MAGA crime syndicate keeping people from voting and votes from counting - because we are, indeed, the Best Coast.
Authoritarians need elections to maintain plausible deniability. They just need them to keep people from voting and keep votes from counting to control outcomes in enough elections to keep themselves in power.
