this movie was so good I about hurt myself: saw it Friday morning opening day, only a few people there. me, a normal person, got a big soda. this is a three hour movie! felt like I was going to die but I couldn’t miss a minute.
ALF makes so much more sense when you remember he’s a 250 year old alien who lost everyone in his species and his home world - closer to J’onn ‘Jonzz than Superman, the Melmacian carries a sorrow to shatter the world. the Tanners know to keep it light, at the risk of courting disaster.
there’s still a steady drip of provocation, but the package is more focused, the lyrics more developed. clearly they were onto something: this specific song was huge, but the whole album is good. put this on and skulk around your neighborhood in the dark to get the full effect.
I may be just a scrub fresh off the boat, figuratively speaking, but it looks to me as if the Spurs have got in their heads, big time
