I have a lotta feelings with indie studios that pull in loads of money acting like they aren’t businesses and feeling like they’re just “smol little beans” and don’t have to do shit companies need to do. Like the government don’t care if you a studio of 1 or 100 you still gotta do that tax work.
unfortunately he was only able to do that because he funded the movie himself, so no gigantic cut of the revenue had to go to a studio, which is what happened with obsession
