Both people who are struggling to write, and those who are struggling to stay within word count/page length, run into this problem. If your writing isn't working, for whatever reason, be sure that you can articulate an actual argument that people could disagree with!!
I applied for adjunct jobs today after 10 years out of the classroom. Slightly terrified - it's been a WHILE - but looking forward to the chance to teach again.
(I've taught 3x remotely since then, but regular classrooms or undergrads, no.)

You cannot possibly run on 100% effort to every single thing all the time. If you do (or you know someone who claims to), they're probably shorting critical personal growth and personal care needs (or outsourcing them to a partner). It's FINE and HEALTHY to ease off the gas pedal sometimes!

Self-Care Saturday! It's sunscreen season in the northern hemisphere. Check if yours is expired (typically 3 years). If it is, or if it's changed color, smell, or consistency, or worse, if you don't have any -- buy some more! SPF 15 or higher is recommended for routine use, even for trips outdoors

Sunday Planning Time! Synch your calendars & check the weekly meal plan. Then check your monthly goals - fitness, writing, whatever - and adapt as necessary to meet them. Do the goals need to scale back? Or the effort scale up? Is that actually REASONABLE?
