Giving minimum wage earners (about 100,000 people) a 6% wage increase to match inflation, and the 3m or so workers who have awards tied to it a 4.75% is not going to cause a wage price spiral. It means they can buy what they are already buying. Like bread AND milk and maybe some biscuits and fuel
Sarah Martin is an incredible journalist and Hanson personally attacking her for very standard questions shows just how down the Trump normalisation we are. And it will come to all journalists who do their job.

Pauline Hanson's attack on Sarah Martin at the press club just now was abhorrent, but what was absolutely shameful was the journalists in the room applauding it. Where is your workplace solidarity? What the hell do you think this kind of behaviour leads to?

The National Media Sector of @withmeaa.bsky.social put this statement together yesterday in the wake of Sarah being attacked by Hanson at the press club. We need to call out attacks on press freedom when we see them. It's journalists standing together against this stuff that is going to stop it.
