Really excited to have this new article out: "Six Myths of Judicial Independence" Since I began this project it has become increasingly relevant. The Rule of Law depends upon free and independent courts - but what this means is beset with myths www.uwa.edu.au/schools/-/me...

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now. I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system. It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.
It seems like the federal government wanted to commandeer the judge into doing their law enforcement work, which they cannot do as a constitutional matter. Refusing to assist the federal government is not the same as actively impeding law enforcement. This is highly suspect behavior from the feds.

If there are any US constitution experts who'd like to volunteer to analyse the actions on the TrumpActionTracker from a constitutional perspective - please get in touch! It's a big undertaking but I think would provide an important lens. [email protected] www.trumpactiontracker.info
🚨🚨Unsurprisingly (this was likely to happen) preparations for a post-Brexit #reset of #EU-UK relations between the UK were thrown into turmoil yesterday after EU MS demanded further concessions from London over #fishing rights and #youthmobility. #brexit 🧵 www.ft.com/content/b377...

The last day on which a majority of the Supreme Court’s justices had been appointed by Democratic presidents was May 14, 1969. One of the things we do in the legal academy is support our claims with facts.
Ruxandra Serban and Tom Fleming explore how Starmer’s approach to opening PMQs compares to that of other post-1997 Prime Ministers.

How has Keir Starmer changed Prime Minister’s Questions?
Seeing claims about the judge "hiding" the defendant. Read the complaint, folks (written by DOJ). The guy was literally in the public area where the agents were. I guess he got on an elevator before they could get to him. The complaint says after letting the defendant exit she came back to the bench
