... in the long run, make Sociology more visible to the public. You may have seen the article recently about Sociology "surrendering it's voice to Philosophy". I think there is *some* truth to this. Sociology just isn't visible to or presented to the public in a way that clicks with them...
... pop-ologists. Apologies for the rant. I've become very committed to this cause. I'd absolutely love to collaborate in some way. Sociology is not in a great place right now. As a discipline, we need to collectively work towards changing the way we are viewed. Happy to discuss further :)
