Antiquary, librarian & #Huguenot refugee Andrew Ducarel was born OTD in 1713. Inside his copy (now mine) of ‘An essay on the antiquities of Great Britain & Ireland’ (Edinburgh, 1738), which I originally gave as a gift to my good friend Robin Myers, who made Ducarel a focus of her research.
