Bryn Celli Ddu is a remarkable Neolithic passage tomb built to align with midsummer sunrise some 5,000 years ago!
On the longest day of the year, the rising sun lights up the inner burial chamber where a stone pillar keeps watch from the shadows.

"Electric cars occupied 62.9% of the retail sales market share in China in May 2025, despite the phasing out of subsidies. The new high was reached due to a sharp decline in ICE sales, which resulted in new energy cars occupying the top 10 bestselling models." 👇👀

With demographic change, concerns about the value of going to university and tighter rules for foreign students, I suspect we'll see more of these applications to convert student housing to other uses.
"Bringing architecture down to its most basic, excluding any sort of colour or decoration to work with space, volumes and light. “My approach has always been to listen” says Anna Philipp, head of the German practice Philipp Architekten and in charge of the project."👇👀 www.abitare.it/en/architect...
Design Vanguard 2026: Mariam Issoufou Architects. "Issoufou, 47, has been interested in rethinking how architecture can articulate a language of independence in a postcolonial context. Her architecture is both a critique and a proposition." 👇👀 www.architecturalrecord.com/articles/182...
I was working on coal phase-out in 2016.
It's hard to express how impossible it would have sounded for solar in the US to generate more than coal by 2026 over a whole month.
(Even if that month is only May, which typically has more solar gen and less coal gen)
So cool😎
"The redesign of the Central Pavilion, built in 1894 for the first International Art Exhibition, is proving to be a balancing act in terms of dealing with the existing stock, as the intervention goes beyond the traditional principles of conservation and restoration."👇👀 www.detail.de/de_en/neuges...
"Felipe Caboclo Arquitectura designed the chapel to provoke an emotional response from visitors. Two concrete walls rise out of the ground, undulating across the lawn with striations formed by the wooden formwork." 👇👀| via Dezeen.com |
"The proposal emerges from the echo of Biar as a fortified town, where the memory of the old wall still whispers through the landscape and the shape of the village. The project does not impose itself, it continues." | Povedano Navas Arquitectos | by afasia👇👀
