The populations in East&West Germany were far from being randomly selected groups:
1. the later border is already visible in pre-WWII data
2. WWII & the subsequent occupying forces affected East & West differently
3. a selective fifth fled from East 2 West Germany before the building of the Wall
on the one hand, finally some much-needed change. on the other hand, the line-up at some of these festivals might start to look very different for better or worse …

Just FYI there’s an account on here called @redditspaceviewes.bsky.social (with over 200k followers) that is posting a bunch of AI slop (including a “Saturn polar hexagon” with 8 sides) and claiming it’s NASA imagery. If you see anything posted by them, it’s likely fake.
