The thing about victim-blaming is that it's easy to do even when you're a victim of sexual assault, and even when you're doing it to yourself.
It gives you a false sense of control. You tell yourself you were stupid, it's your fault. If you're smart, you can prevent it from happening again, right?
Men get rewarded for rape, and so we are left to contend with an uncaring world, only able to turn our rage and grief inwards at the only person we're allowed to hurt instead of the one who hurt us.
