TOMORROW AT THE STUD...come see trans writers read about anything other than transition. I'll probably be reading the opening of Translunar, my astronaut book out in 2027. It's one of the chapters about hot jets, but transition MAY be mentioned, despite my heroine's best efforts to stanch the flow.
gladly agreed to blurb A.K. Larkwood's The Seventh Banisher, a fantasy novel I can only describe as "Nancy Mitford's Danganronpa"
it is my birthday today! if you might plausibly have bought me a drink if we were in the same locality, please consider sending that money to the Transgender Law Center instead: transgenderlawcenter.org
What are you doing Sunday night 6/14 at 6:30? Want to hang out with amazing trans writers in San Francisco? Me too! Come to @theworldsgreatestwriter.com's incredible literary series Text Change at The Stud to see me and four other awe-inspiring trans writers talk about everything except transition.
an outright lie unless they’re arguing that spellcheck is AI. If you’re using MS Word there’s probably now untoggleable AI assistant but I’ve published four books without MS Word. I copy edit over the phone from a printout if I have to. I don’t want to speed my workflow. I’d rather be good
The day of prophecy has commenced! Out today!
People of the Bay Area! I’m hosting a new reading series called Text Change, in which five trans writers are invited to read work on any topic other than transition! The first show is at The Stud on June 14th at 6:30!
