New paper! How do RNAs "know" where to go inside a cell? We dug into the sequence elements that route RNAs to the right place. It turns out that, in mammals, they're surprisingly massive (>200 nt), multipartite, and wonderfully complicated. 🧵

Congratulations @robklose.bsky.social for being elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society! royalsociety.org/news/2026/05... great news to have two outstanding scientists, Rob and Colin, from @oxfordbiochemistry.bsky.social joining the Royal society today!

Very glad to have our latest study, led by the former stellar PhD student @pharrissnell.bsky.social and postdoc Parisa Naeli, out in @cp-cellreports.bsky.social. Translation-dependent regulation of stability of non-optimal mRNAs by 2 vertebrate-specific RBPs, ZC3H7A/B.
