Now, I don't personally believe AI will actually cause the end of the world. 1/2
But it is seriously concerning that at least some of these people DID or DO believe that and still continue to relentlessly pursue it. Sam Altman has recently come out and said that AI won't cause a "jobs apocalypse" but it really feels like there's a loud, unspoken "for now" attached to that. 2/2

Yessss I've been saying this too! We cannot cede ground to AI. AI writes like us, so the more the way we write changes, the more AI will write like that, and then if we just keep changing, we're not going to have anything left.
