1st oddball: my Azorius Wizards deck only has 4 1-drops & has a ton of 3-drops. Was not expecting that.
2nd oddball: my Balmor Birds deck has tons of 2-drops, despite the commander being a 2-drop.
3rd oddball: my Dromar Esper Dragons has basically no 3-4 drops because there are 13 Omen/Adventures.
How I feel seeing the name removed from the Kennedy Center:
(translated: "Tell my son...I want him to know what time his father died." "No; he won't even know your name.")
Conclusion:
Maybe they weren't as normal as I thought 😅
Azorius Wizards is probably the weirdest, and might warrant some changes. The commander is a 2-drop, which helps shore up the lack of 1-2 drops, but it does mean that the engine takes some time to set up properly.
Gotta love karma doing what the courts won't.
6th (somewhat) oddball: my Arahbo Monowhite Cat deck is over half 2-drops. Makes sense, though, as I'm bouncing them to make more kitties.
7th (somewhat) oddball: my Rosheen Meanderer Hydras deck looks normal, but it has a lot of x-spells, so the curve is misleading.
Biting the bullet and teaching myself rudimentary video editing so I can finally make use of my gigantic pile of stream vods 😅
8th (somewhat) oddball: my Shu Yun Monks deck, like Balmor Birds, is more than half 2-drops.
Watching the @edhrecast.bsky.social episode about bizarre mana curves and sifting my decks, which I didn't consciously build on a mana curve...
They are STAGGERINGLY normal. Weird thing to say.
4th oddball: my Rakka Mar Flamekin deck has only 3 1-drops and is high on 4- and 5-drops, despite the commander being 4 mana.
5th oddball: my Shigeki Saproling deck only has 4 1-drops and is heavy on 2-3 drops, despite having a 2-drop commander.
