EXACTLY. As I’ve been saying, the tech industry suffers from a humanities deficit.
It doesn’t grasp the fields. It lacks the knowledge they provide, which would properly shape their thinking about AI and its impact.

Another big disconnect in the AI debate is academics/AIbros/AI pushers assuming they understand the methods, theories, debates, and philosophies of disciplines they are not trained in, and appear to have no desire to understand, but are POSITIVE gAI is necessary to those disciplines, nonetheless.
