Our new paper tracks a steady deterioration in the mental ill-health in the UK since the late 1990s, especially among the young. There was a big uptick around the Great Recession, and again around 2012 with the arrival of smartphones onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... @sriucl.bsky.social
