& dusktime all that is luminous is vapour in the air the land dark & waterlogged sounds of gurgle & suck 1 tiny windblown leaf badged to the door of yr car
(way back, beneath gales of song, a grasshopper warbler trills insectchatter from avian)

you follow heron habits, meeting where the light levels to stare at reflections on water & what moves across it (little grebe smuggles at least 1 passenger past) - raspberries are on the way & dogrose in full flower 1/2
