I think SF643D's Meteo still looks better. The backlit glow to the asteroids and the more tasteful balance of green against the blackness of space is very pleasant looking. The new Star Fox feels like I'm being drenched in green light. It's also easy to read which asteroids are destructible on 3DS.

Seamless night-to-day shot by fading one background into another, a sunrise emerging behind the mountains with that "sun in your eyes" effect, that a slow zoom on a multi-plane camera.
Rankin/Bass got real pros to work on their animation when they partnered with Topcraft and Pacific Animation.
I've never understood how people can aim so well in Star Fox games. They always seem so touchy to me. I'd like Nintendo to add in gyro assist or something.
"Embargoed?" You mean "threatened to blacklist" I'm sure. Just one more reason not to support Ubisoft anymore — not that I needed further convincing.

My scheduled posts got nuked. Fine. I'm tired of doing this every week on 4 platforms for it to mean squat. I'll be posting on bsky less frequently for a bit. Once I'm done with my current comms I'll be focusing on art pack stuff for Patreon and SubStar so maybe support me there.

Ubisoft EMBARGOED news to outlets about the layoffs and studio closures, FYI.
Employees were told this morning. And then many reached out to us.
Companies trying to embargo layoffs and closures might be the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in my 16 years.
