We passed the 1,500 pin milestone on the Global #Torii mapping project, woohoo! 🥇 Can we make it to 2,000? 👀 If you ever see a torii in the wild outside of Japan, please let me know. 😊🙏 www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/e...

A map of torii gates located outside of Japan (except for including US military presence), created by Dr. Kaitlyn Ugoretz (University of Idaho).

While I was in Philly for Comicon with my family, I convinced everyone to go get ramen at Kyuramen near the convention center. I didn't know we'd be going to a chain that uses #torii & Shinto prayer boards (ema) as decor! There's at least 30 locations across the US with torii. It's mapping time! ⛩️🗺️🔍
