ADHD is an exception to this rule.
And it seems to me that we have entered a 'Don't mention the homosexuality' phase of public discourse. Openly gay people are shunted into a closet marked 'it's nobodies business' and it's considered rude to mention it.
This is dangerous.

It's dangerous because it imposes invisibility in a world that gleefully chatters about every hetrosexual liason of the most minor celeb. It makes being gay impolite. It feeds the 'don't shove it in our face' school of thought.
In the week Tip Toe warned, the media shoved Hockney in the closet.
A thing struck me as I listened to the various media eulogies for David Hockney.
How they de facto put him in the closet he refused to enter when alive.
'Oh, but it's no one's business who he slept with' pundits will insist. Which shows how deeply ignorant they are about the life and art of Hockney
