I absolutely and unequivocally believe that someone shouldn't be punished for the rest of their lives for the worst thing they've done.
But TIME ALONE is not a metric of rehabilitation.
this is the main crux. i know i shouldn't be letting dumb youtube comments and bizarre emails get to me. but the sheer level of anti-intellectualism & misogyny feels worse than ever right now and idk how to proceed anymore at all. i long for a better world with a better internet.
i'm constantly thinking about how techbro AI is entangled with misogyny. from early observations of Alexa and Siri as women secretaries to the claim from gutierrez that "AI art is like having sex and then they hand you the baby," AI serves the function of women while erasing them from public life
