Had a really good few hours today with @davidjmortimer.bsky.social, playtesting this game of mine and one of his. Both are starting to feel like they are solid games - still work to do, but I think both are solidly in the last 90% of development. 🎲✂️

I've been researching #UKGE RPG safety procedures for an upcoming video.
If you've GMed or played an event in the last two years I'd really like to ask you a couple of questions re. your experience.
Feel free to DM or email anonymously :)

Great article from @spookysyntax.bsky.social. Seeing these anti-AI signs around UKGE was heartening, but it shouldn't even be a question. AI slop took up valuable space at the con, and punter's money that could have gone to real creators went to this crap instead.
I can't remember for sure, but I think there was something in the sign up about that. Probably not as an actual question though. That's a good point though - I might go and suggest that for next time around.
I agree with you, and that's part of what makes the line between what is cool and what isn't a very blurry one.
I don't remember, to be honest. I don't want to publicly name and shame, though.
Not cool.
To be honest though, while I want to see this stop, it's a minority of people, and if cracking down makes it harder for legit people, that's also not cool. It's probably just something to put up with. But we notice, and we remember.
May I be among the last to get around to posting a blog about UK games expo and the fact that I spent most of my active time in and around the Playtest Zone...

Here's something I found interesting: a knitter who is also a digital game designer musing on the meaning of the word "fun" and what would be a better term... www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEFC...
