10.06.2026 – release 2 of 3
Today we’re switching on a high-reliability relay: relay1.eurosky.network
The firehose of the Atmosphere, running on European infrastructure.
09.06.2026 - release 1 of 3
Sovereign social infrastructure, one layer at a time.
We’re now mirroring the did:plc directory - where identities live - on European infrastructure: plc.eurosky.network
Decentralisation means not depending on a single directory.
Wired lists @eurosky.social as part of the way that Europe is moving forward.

Everything we're able to do at @eurosky.social is by working with some of the most talented people in the Atmosphere 💙💙

A WIRED timeline shows how dozens of governments, companies, and other organizations across Europe are moving, or planning to shift, away from US Big Tech.
Are there organizations/groups that can be used to verify that someone is a researcher, that we could use here on Bluesky/the AT Protocol? 🧪☄️
I know ORCiD exists, but I think anyone can make one, which doesn't make it 100% reliable? (Unless it turns out that their moderation is strong)

been helping the Eurosky folks set up this PLC read-replica, pretty excited to see it officially go live! I think it's a pretty good deployment!
