Ankeny-Runnells, IA F4 #Tornado – June 18, 1974
The tornado moved southeast from Ankeny toward Runnells, killing two people in their homes and injuring at least 50. About 100 homes, a church, a drive-in restaurant, and a shopping center were destroyed.
